Biomedical Materials and Biosafety Materials

Special Issue banner

Scope

Due to the unique properties of polymers such as tunable chemical compositions, topologies, and functionalities, they can be utilized for various biomedical and biosafety applications. with the rapid development of nanotechnology in recent years, polymeric nanoparticles have been widely exploited. BMEF is assembling a special issue highlighting the latest advances of biomedical materials and biosafety materials and invites you to submit your research.

The focus of this special issue will be primarily on the design, synthesis, and application of various materials for biomedical applications, such as regenerative medicine, bioimaging, drug and gene delivery, and biosafety issues, such as anti-bacteria/anti-virus vaccines, and personal and collective protection equipment. Furthermore, studies related to other basic research and clinical translation research of materials for biomedical and biosafety applications are also welcome.

If your research applies materials to any of following areas, we encourage you to submit:

  • Materials for regenerative medicine
  • Materials for imaging
  • Materials for drug and gene delivery
  • Biosafety materials for pathogen detection and disinfection
  • Biosafety materials for personal and collective protection equipment
  • Biosafety materials for treatment of infectious diseases
