Nanotechnology and Nanobiology Against Multi-drug Resistant Bacteria

Special Issue banner

Scope

The emergence of multidrug-resistant bacteria is a global threat. In the absence of available treatments, alternative therapies are needed. Nanotechnology and nanobiology, from nanoparticles to bacteriophages, are promising tools to combat superbugs. In this special issue, the aim is to provide an overview of new technologies and approaches that will contribute to design novel antimicrobials.

Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Nanotechnology and nanobiology to combat antimicrobial resistance
  • Phage and phage-derived therapies
  • Nanoparticles
  • New challenges against multi-drug resistant bacteria
